Flippin' Cards
An original series combining the excitement of baseball-card collecting with the knowledge and transparency needed to buy, sell, trade, and enjoy cards more responsibly.
Flippin' Cards is an original Resilient Features series combining the excitement of baseball-card collecting with the knowledge, discipline, and transparency needed to buy, sell, trade, and enjoy cards more responsibly.
Drawing upon Richard Ticho's more than 40 years of collecting experience, the series will help audiences understand a hobby that is nostalgic, exciting, competitive, unpredictable, and constantly changing.
The goal is not to pretend that every card is an investment or that profit is guaranteed.
The central challenge begins after Richard uses his existing collection to create a $10,000 cash bankroll. The challenge accounting then resets to $10,000 in cash, zero challenge inventory, and a 365-day goal of reaching $1 million through buying, selling, trading, grading, and building collections.
The existing personal collection is used only to establish the opening bankroll. It is not counted as challenge inventory afterward. The $1 million goal is not guaranteed, and estimated values are never described as realized profits.
Artificial intelligence is not a character in the series.
